Our Campsite

Nestled deep within the spectacular rolling Carmarthenshire countryside you will find Tireithin Meadow Camping Retreat, a family-friendly, off-grid site in the quiet surroundings of Carmarthenshire's Cothi Valley. Sitting on 12 acres of well-maintained land, the site is within reach of the off-road hiking and BMX trails in Brechfa Forest (20 minutes' drive) and just under three quarters of an hour from South Wales's cracking coastline. The National Botanical gardens is just 20 minutes drive and there are many castles to visit nearby.

Fancy a more chilled time? That can be accommodated too – meander down to the banks of the river Cothi for some paddling and nature spotting, take the kids to the on-site play area or sit by your crackling fire and gaze at the night sky.  Spot the constellation. look out for shooting stars and meteor showers, while enjoying a well-earned break.

This secluded site is about 10 minutes from Pontargothi village with its friendly pub offering good value pub food, or just relax by the river and enjoy a drink while the children have fun in the play area.  The nearest shop is just 10 minutes away in Dryslwyn offering the essentials and local produce.

We have 10 pitches in total, including 5 Camping pitches, 2 Domes and 3 Bell Tents.

Bell Tents

All our Bell tents are erected on a platform

with a covered entrance.

a double bed and two camp beds inside

Each Bell Tent has its own covered kitchen area, complete with a picnic table, BBQ/fire pit,  and a food waste disposal bin.

own sleeping accommodation but still be close to mum

and dad, so we offer at a cost of £5.00 per night the opportunity to have a small 2-man tent with roll mats

readily erected for your arrival.

New in 2022, all our domes are 6 metres in diameter and have a double bed, double sofa bed and camp beds are  available for children under 16 years.

Our domes are well furnished and very cosy, they are a lovely home from home to explore West Wales from!
