Our Campsite

Nestled deep within the spectacular rolling Carmarthenshire countryside you will find Tireithin Meadow Camping Retreat, a family-friendly, off-grid site in the quiet surroundings of Carmarthenshire's Cothi Valley. Sitting on 12 acres of well-maintained land, the site is within reach of the off-road hiking and BMX trails in Brechfa Forest (20 minutes' drive) and just under three quarters of an hour from South Wales's cracking coastline. The National Botanical gardens is just 20 minutes drive and there are many castles to visit nearby.

Fancy a more chilled time? That can be accommodated too – meander down to the banks of the river Cothi for some paddling and nature spotting, take the kids to the on-site play area or sit by your crackling fire and gaze at the night sky.  Spot the constellation. look out for shooting stars and meteor showers, while enjoying a well-earned break.

This secluded site is about 10 minutes from Pontargothi village with its friendly pub offering good value pub food, or just relax by the river and enjoy a drink while the children have fun in the play area.  The nearest shop is just 10 minutes away in Dryslwyn offering the essentials and local produce.

We have 10 pitches in total, including 5 Camping pitches, 2 Domes and 3 Bell Tents.

We offer shelves in the fridges and a communal freezer for ice packs along with an area to charge your gadgets, mobile phones, iPads etc.

Please note we are an off-grid site. Vodafone signal is ok and you can get 4G in the meadow, but all other suppliers are hit and miss - one of the many quirks of rural Wales, but more conducive for a relaxing holiday!
