Highly recommended trips & days out
Once you've been out in the wilds, you might like to turn to lower-intensity landscapes like the National Botanic Garden of Wales (20 minutes away) – best followed-up with trips out to pretty parks like the National Trust-run Dinefwr Estate (20 minutes away) or the restored medieval grounds of Aberglasney Gardens (20 minutes away).

When it comes to the coast, you could very well stick to Carmarthenshire, exploring Tâf Estuary spots like Laugharne Castle (45 minutes) or settling down on Llansteffan beach (40 minutes). Pembrokeshire seaside resorts like Saundersfoot and Tenby (both roughly an hour) are other tempting possibilities – especially if you've got kids in tow who'd appreciate trips to nearby family-friendly attractions like Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo (an hour).

Alternatively, simply chilling out in nature and around the campfire, relaxing and getting away from it all is one of the best things to do!
